I’m excited to share that Emirates is stepping up its game for travelers heading to Mauritius. Starting December 2, 2025, the airline will add a third daily flight to this stunning Indian Ocean island. This move is all about making it easier for people to visit Mauritius, whether for a relaxing beach getaway or a business trip.
The new flight, operated with a Boeing 777-300ER, will join Emirates’ two existing daily Airbus A380 flights. This addition bumps up seat capacity by over 30 percent, giving travelers more options to plan their trips. The Boeing 777 offers first, business, and economy class cabins, so there’s something for everyone, from luxury seekers to budget-conscious explorers.
Mauritius has long been a favorite for its crystal-clear waters, lush rainforests, and vibrant culture. Emirates has been flying there since 2002, carrying over 8.8 million passengers and boosting the island’s tourism industry. The new flight will make it even easier for people from places like Europe, the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia to reach this paradise.
What’s great about this expansion is the flexibility it brings. The new flight, numbered EK709, leaves Dubai at 6:55 AM and lands in Mauritius at 1:40 PM local time. The return trip, EK710, departs Mauritius at 6:30 PM and arrives in Dubai at 1:10 AM the next day. These timings work well for connecting flights, especially for travelers coming from far-off places like Japan, China, or the United States.
Emirates is also teaming up with Air Mauritius through a codeshare agreement. This partnership makes travel smoother by offering more connected flight options and shared benefits for passengers. It’s a win for both airlines and for anyone planning a trip to Mauritius.
The island’s tourism scene is booming, with attractions like the Black River Gorges National Park for hiking, UNESCO World Heritage sites like Aapravasi Ghat, and vibrant markets in Port Louis where you can taste Creole cuisine. Whether you’re into snorkeling, luxury resorts, or cultural adventures, Mauritius has it all.
Booking for the new flight is already open. You can reserve seats through Emirates’ website, app, retail stores, contact centers, or travel agents. With this extra flight, I expect seats to fill up fast, especially during peak seasons like Christmas and New Year.
This move by Emirates shows their commitment to Mauritius as a top destination. They’re not just adding flights but also supporting the local economy, which has seen millions in tourism revenue and thousands of jobs created thanks to their operations. If you’re dreaming of a tropical escape, this new flight makes it easier than ever to get there.
