Turkish Airlines has added London Stansted Airport as its third gateway in the UK capital. The carrier now operates flights from Stansted to Istanbul with 15 weekly frequencies. The expansion brings the airline’s total UK airports served to six.

The new route provides passengers with direct access to Istanbul and onward connections to more than 350 destinations across Asia, Africa and beyond. Operations use widebody aircraft suited for the high-frequency schedule. The launch strengthens Turkish Airlines’ presence in the competitive London market alongside existing Heathrow and Gatwick services.

Stansted Airport gains enhanced long-haul options through the Istanbul hub. Travelers benefit from streamlined transfers for leisure and business journeys to emerging markets. The increased frequencies support both point-to-point demand and connecting traffic.

The development aligns with broader growth in UK-Turkey air links. No immediate capacity reductions on other London routes were announced. Bookings for the Stansted services are available through standard channels.

Passengers should confirm exact timings and aircraft types as the schedule beds in. The route adds flexibility for those avoiding central London airports. Further network adjustments remain under review based on demand patterns.

This move expands connectivity without affecting Turkish Airlines’ core European or intercontinental operations. Travelers planning UK departures can now select from additional departure points to reach the carrier’s extensive global network. Residual effects on fares and availability will clarify after the initial operational period.
