IndiGo has returned to normal scheduling following severe operational disruptions earlier in December. The airline operated over 2,050 flights on December 13 with only two cancellations due to technical issues. All affected passengers on those flights were reaccommodated.

The carrier has maintained stable performance for five consecutive days. All 138 destinations remain fully connected. On-time performance has returned to standard levels.

Recovery progressed steadily. IndiGo flew over 1,700 flights on December 8 with one cancellation. The number rose to over 1,800 on December 9, over 1,900 on December 10 with two cancellations, over 1,950 on December 11 with four cancellations, and over 2,050 on December 12 with two cancellations.

IndiGo allocated compensation exceeding ₹500 crore for impacted customers. This covers passengers whose flights were cancelled within 24 hours of departure or who faced severe stranding.

The airline is identifying eligible passengers from disruptions on December 3, 4, and 5. Affected individuals will receive contact in January for processing.

Refunds remain the immediate priority. Most have already been completed.

IndiGo urged passengers to check official channels for updates. The carrier advised avoiding misinformation regarding cancellations.

This restoration marks the end of a challenging period for India’s largest airline. The disruptions stemmed from pilot scheduling issues and regulatory compliance with flight duty time limitations.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation conducted inquiries. It suspended four flight operations inspectors for alleged monitoring lapses.

IndiGo’s CEO appeared before a probe panel for two days. The focus centered on operational approvals amid known constraints.

The airline’s dominance in the Indian market contributed to the widespread impact. IndiGo holds the largest share of domestic flights.
