IndiGo has introduced six new direct regional routes from Navi Mumbai International Airport using ATR aircraft. The services connect to Ahmedabad, Diu, Goa, Rajkot, Belgaum and Kolhapur. Operations begin on 29 March with daily frequencies on most sectors.

The addition marks the start of ATR 72-600 operations at the new airport. Two daily flights will serve both Goa and Kolhapur while single daily services cover the remaining four destinations. Bookings have opened across all channels for travel from the launch date.

Navi Mumbai International Airport aims to ease pressure on Mumbai’s existing facility by expanding short-haul connectivity. The ATR routes target business and leisure traffic within western and southern India. Kolhapur gains improved access to the financial hub while Goa receives strengthened double-daily links.

IndiGo’s move forms part of broader efforts to boost secondary city air services. The low-cost carrier operates the flights with its standard ATR configuration suited for shorter sectors. Schedules include morning and evening departures on the double-daily routes.

Travelers can expect typical IndiGo fares starting from competitive levels on the new sectors. The routes enhance options for passengers previously relying on road or indirect air travel. Kolhapur Airport officials have welcomed the development as a step toward stronger regional integration.

No immediate capacity figures were released beyond the daily frequencies. The launch aligns with the airport’s phased opening strategy for domestic operations. Passengers should confirm exact timings as the network beds in during the initial weeks.

This expansion adds to IndiGo’s domestic network without affecting international services. It provides travelers with more efficient connections across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and union territories. Further details on load factors will emerge after the first month of operations.
