Starting October 27, 2024, Air India is enhancing its service by introducing daily flights from Bengaluru to London Heathrow. This upgrade from the current service to London Gatwick, which operates five days a week, aims to streamline travel between these key cities.
Air India will utilize the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner for this route, ensuring a comfortable journey. The new flight schedule allows the Dreamliner to depart from Kempegowada International Airport in Bengaluru at 2:20 pm, arriving in London at 7:30 pm local time. The return flight leaves London at 9:05 pm and lands back in Bengaluru at 12:20 pm the following day.
With the addition of this route, the airline boosts its weekly capacity by 3,584 seats to London Heathrow. This includes both directions of travel. Currently, Air India already operates 31 flights per week between Delhi and Mumbai to London Heathrow.
Furthermore, the airline provides 12 weekly services to London Gatwick from cities such as Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa, and Kochi.
Travelers can now make reservations for this new daily service directly through Air India’s official website. The updated service not only increases flight options but also promises enhanced connectivity from India’s tech hub to the UK capital. The spacious Dreamliner features 18 flatbeds in business class and 238 seats in economy class.
This expansion reflects Air India’s commitment to improving travel services and meeting the needs of international travelers between India and the United Kingdom.
